SUMMARY:CoP Clinical Event: Engagement and Behavioural Challenges in Caregiver & Child Groups
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an upcoming Community of Practice (CoP) Clinical Event focused on exploring emerging challenges in both caregiver and child group settings. This session will provide a space for shared learning\, reflection\, and practical strategies to strengthen engagement and group dynamics across programs. \n\nKey topics will include: \n\nConduct issues and disruptive behaviours\nCaregiver disengagement/dissociation and broader engagement challenges in caregiver and child groups\nBarriers to participation and the impact of problematic behaviours on group safety and outcomes\n\nInteractive component: Participants will be invited to: \n\nShare real examples and experiences from both caregiver and child groups\nComplete a brief pre-event form to highlight behaviours and challenges they are seeing in practice (we will use these examples to guide discussions)\n\nPlease complete this form!!  to share your experiences and examples of challenges and/or behaviours you are currently seeing in caregiver and/or child groups.\n\n\n\nThis session is designed to be highly collaborative\, providing an opportunity to learn from peers\, identify common patterns\, and co-develop approaches to improve engagement and support across both caregiver and child group settings. \nPlease note this event will be recorded and posted to the SNAP Community of Practice site (snapcommunity.childdevelop.ca) \nEvent Details\n🗓 Date: Thursday\, June 18\, 2026\n🕛 Time: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time\n📍 Location: Microsoft Teams
